2025 staff durbar The Akuapim South Municipal Assembly on Monday 19th March, 2025 held it’s staff durbar at the Assembly's Hall for the newly elected Municipal Chief Executive (M.C.E) to engage with staff to create an enabling working environment and officially welcome the Municipal Chief Executive.

Speaking at the durbar, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Lydia Akueteh, introduced the MCE and announced the purpose of the gathering, which was followed by staff introduction.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Osae Offei in his opening remarks, stated that as part of the President's agenda of resetting the nation, the Assembly must contribute its quota in developing the Municipality and nation as a whole, devoid of politics, adding that his tenure would not be business as usual but would work around the clock to exceed the assembly's target in catering for its needs per the Assembly's vision that is, to be a world class client service oriented institution.

He touched on the achievements of the Assembly so far and urged all to work in collaboration, respect and loyalty to exceed the estimated target. This he said would make the Assembly top notch so others will learn from us. He also encouraged time discipline amongst the staff.

According to the MCE, per the reports he chanced on, the Assembly faces challenges in provision of logistics for work output, funds amongst others.

Calling for a holistic approach to the challenge, the Hon. MCE urged all hands on deck to mitigate this menace by bringing onboard innovative ideas to generate income, adding the Internally Generated Fund would therefore supplement the meagre DACF to meet the needs of the Municipality and also charged staff to develop exemplary work attitudes during working hours. Touching on the welfare of the staff, he assured there would be a welfare within the Assembly to meet urgent and personal needs of staff to promote wellness and peace to work.

The Hon. MCE retorted that he is open to working with all staff, and would not entertain mediocrity but rather reward hardwork. He also said he will create an enabling environment for all staff to deliver, for the development of the municipality.
